Hernán Soriano was born in Buenos Aires in 1978. He studied for two years at the Prilidiano
Pueyrredón School of Fine Arts and completed the second year of the School of Design and Communication. He participated in a work clinic at the Ricardo Rojas Cultural Center in 2006 and was a fellow at the Center for Artistic Research in 2012, as well as part of the P.A.C. program at the Gachi Prieto Gallery in 2012.
He is a member of the artistic collective Provisorio Permanente alongside Victoriano Alonso, Pedro Wainer, Eduardo Basualdo, and Artur Lescher, and of the artistic collective Tótem y Tabú with Laura Códega and Malena Pizani. Among his most notable solo exhibitions are Planear, 2021, Quimera Gallery, Buenos Aires, El tiempo que nos queda 2020, Lanzallamas Gallery, Buenos Aires, Formar mentalmente una máquina, 2016, Museum of Modern Art in Buenos Aires, and Edición, 2015, Document Art Gallery, Buenos Aires????. He has also participated in collective exhibitions such as Museo de los mundos imaginarios, 2014, Rio Museum of Art, Brazil, AMC, 2010, 23rd Stuttgarter Filmwinter Festival for Expanded Media, Germany, and AMC, 2009, Emilio Caraffa Museum, Córdoba, Argentina. In 2022, Hernan Soriano won the Azcuy Award, and his works are part of major Argentine collections.
